How to Answer Reviews the Right Way
Reviews are public. Your reply is public too. Future customers read both of them together. How you answer often matters more than what the review said.
Answer the good ones too
Most businesses only reply to bad reviews. Reply to the happy ones as well. Keep it short and mention something real from their visit. It shows you actually pay attention. It also quietly nudges other customers to write one.
Stay calm on the bad ones
Never argue in public. Thank them for telling you. Say you are sorry about their experience. Offer to fix it by phone or email. You are not really writing to that one angry person. You are writing to everyone who reads it later.
Reply soon
A reply within a day or two is best. An old review sitting there with no answer makes it look like nobody is home. Set aside ten minutes each week and clear them all at once. It is a small habit with a big payoff.
Reply to every review, stay calm on the bad ones, and answer within a couple of days. Future customers are always watching.
