Why Websites Need Regular Check-Ups
A website is not a sign you hang up once. It is more like a work truck. It runs fine until the day it does not, and there were usually warnings first.
Things break quietly
Contact forms stop sending and nobody finds out for months. Security certificates expire and visitors get a scary warning. Links point to pages that moved. None of this announces itself. You just notice that the phone rings less than it used to.
What a check-up covers
Send a test message through every form. Load the site on a phone. Check that it still loads fast. Look for broken links. Make sure last night backup actually ran. Confirm your hours are still right. The whole thing takes under an hour.
Once a month is enough
You do not need to do this every day. Once a month catches almost everything before a customer runs into it. Put it on your calendar for the first Monday, or have someone do it for you and send you a note.
Check your forms, speed, links, and backups once a month. Small problems stay small that way.
