Restaurant Websites: Menus, Reservations & What Converts
A restaurant website has one job. It turns a hungry person into a booking or an order. Most restaurant sites lose that person in the first ten seconds.
The menu is the main thing
Put your real menu on the page as text. Do not use a PDF. People have to pinch and zoom to read a PDF on a phone, and many give up. If they cannot read your menu fast, they go find a place where they can. Show your prices too. Hiding them makes people nervous.
Make booking one tap
Put the reserve button at the top of every page. Make it big enough for a thumb. It does not matter much which booking tool you use. What matters is that every extra tap between hungry and booked loses you another table.
Good photos are worth the money
People order with their eyes. Three great photos of your food beat thirty average ones. Good photos also make your prices feel fair before anyone even sits down. For a restaurant website, this is the best money you can spend.
A text menu, booking in one tap, and photos that make people hungry. Everything else on a restaurant site is extra.
